Friendship Hall’s Christmas Party & Trolley Ride: A Marshfield Hills Holiday Tradition

A new Marshfield Hills tradition that's all about community — and worth preserving.

On a December 13, 2025 in Marshfield Hills, Friendship Hall turned into a holiday “home base” for families: kids writing letters to Santa, neighbors catching up, and a trolley rolling between Friendship Hall and the Marshfield Hills General Store—complete with music, carols, and twinkly lights.

This is what Friendship Hall is built for: bringing people together. It has served Marshfield Hills for generations—and moments like this are exactly why our community is rallying to restore and maintain this historic building.

Highlights from the day

A true neighborhood collaboration

This event grew into something extra special thanks to a partnership between Friendship Hall, North Community Church, the Marshfield Hills General Store, and local vendors who helped make the trolley rides happen.

Kid magic, Marshfield Hills-style

Families gathered in the hall for holiday crafts and letter-writing, then hopped on the trolley for a festive ride through the neighborhood—caroling included—before stopping at the General Store for a treat and a Santa letter drop-off.

A community hub doing what it does best

The best part wasn’t the decorations. It was the feeling: kids excited, parents smiling, neighbors together—one of those “this is why we live here” moments.

Why this matters (and why we’re asking for your help)

Friendship Hall isn’t just a building — it’s the setting for the memories. To keep hosting events like Back to the 80s (and the Kids’ Halloween Party, the Holiday in the Hills celebration, and every private gathering in between), we’re in the middle of a capital campaign focused on critical exterior restoration and long-term structural protection.

Our goal is $475,000 to preserve Friendship Hall’s historic integrity and keep this gathering place strong for future generations.

Help keep Friendship Hall bright

If this video made you smile, consider turning that holiday spirit into real support. Friendship Hall belongs to the community — and keeping it here for celebrations like this one is exactly what the capital campaign is for.

Thank you to our neighbors and community partners who helped make this event happen — and to every family who came out to celebrate together.
